PACES: Course FormatSplit into groups of no more than 6 candidates, you'll see 6 common exam cases in each session, with close attention and feedback from our expert faculty of examiners. Special attention is paid to ophthalmology, neurology and cardiology, with additional support for these cases available online. You'll also benefit from dedicated history taking and communication skills sessions. With close observation and a focus on technique candidates find these sessions especially valuable. We use professional actors to guarantee high quality for communication skills, and history taking sessions are based around carefully chosen cases. The highlight of the course is the mock exam; 30 minutes of one-on-one rotation around our specially-designed mock exam stations. With extensive feedback and a pass/fail decision, the mock exams are a great opportunity to identify any weak areas and evaluate how likely you are to pass. We also offer dedicated ‘long case' sessions for candidates taking PACES ( Ireland ). Designed specifically around the needs of Irish candidates we are delighted to offer this additional support for those that require it. Our London course also offers an optional evening workshop covering communication skills, ethics and legal issues to support your physical examination skills. Expert lecturers will guide you through commonly covered issues, how to approach them and hints and tips for dealing with the most difficult scenarios.
