MRCS A

If you are in a surgical training post you must pass the MRCS before you can progress from ST2 to ST3. Place yourself at an advantage by having full MRCS when you apply for ST3. This means passing the exams by the January of your ST2 year.

The MRCS part A exam consists of two papers covering applied basic sciences and principles of surgery in general.
