Dr Benjamin Field, BMedSci, MBBS, MSc, MRCP, graduated with distinction from the Medical College of St Bartholomew's Hospital, London. He is pursuing a career in diabetes and endocrinology and is currently an MRC Clinical Research Training Fellow at Imperial College London where, amongst other interests, he is a tutor on the undergraduate medicine course.
Mr Charles Knowles is a final year Specialist Registrar on the North-East Thames Regional training scheme in General Surgery and also holds the post of Clinical Lecturer in Academic Surgery at Queen Mary’s School of Medicine and Dentistry, University of London. He has participated in teaching at undergraduate and post-graduate levels and has co-written or edited several textbooks. In the past he has undertaken a considerable body of research funded by the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the Wellcome Trust leading to the degree of PhD at the University of London, and numerous publications and presentations nationally and internationally where he is well known in the area of neurogastroenterology. He is pursuing a career in academic (University Hospital-based) surgery, specialising in coloproctology
