GP Symposia Products

These
educational symposia, which involve experts from primary and secondary care, will
increase your understanding of important issues regarding the management of the
many patients with cardiac and renal disease that are encountered in Primary
care.
Programme Directors Dr Philip Kalra, Consultant and Reader in
Nephrology, Salford Royal Foundation Trust and the University of Manchester, and
Dr Paul Kalra, Consultant Cardiologist, Portsmouth NHS Trust will work with
local Cardiology and Renal Consultants and GPSIs in these parent disciplines.
The topics covered will include those which are of high relevance to the
current QOF (eg importance of proteinuria testing in CKD, use of renin
angiotensin blockade in cardio-renal disease) and other key topics that are at
the forefront of management in Primary Care, such as management of atrial
fibrillation and how to approach the Vascular Screening programme.
The
one-day meetings present an ideal opportunity to learn more about the care of
patients, participate in interactive case studies and have the opportunity to
share experiences about the key issues that are being faced in the primary care
sector with Cardiologists and Nephrologists
